this is not fair

…two days ago I received a message from my friends I haven’t seen for many years ... apparently him and his wife were visiting the city for a business meeting, and even though we have never been too close our frequencies seemed to resonate quite well on rare occasions we met, hence I wasn’t particularly surprised by the message… I knew they’ve been married for probably as long as we were, I had met her few times back home and here, a lively pretty woman with sharp mind and fast talk… we set up for dinner and drinks next evening…

it was lovely to see them both and share common memories and food and laughs … and we learned she is dying of brain cancer… I work and walk around cancer daily but this time was different … why? how can that be ? how is this possible? this is not fair … just not fair…

we got home, and made love … then again… and I can’t seem stop thinking about them…
